The Death of Stalin
Stalin’s death was announced March 6, 1953. He died 73, leader of the USSR for nearly 25 years.

The tools of propaganda, monitoring, and death had succeeded to the point that the citizens’ wept legitimate tears for their “Father Stalin” - unsure of their future without him. Chaotic crowds lined up to see his temporally displayed body, an estimated 500 trampled to death.
